Who We Are
IDA Arizona is a nonprofit organization that strives to create a supportive community where individuals affected by dyslexia, their families, educators, and professionals can come together to learn, access resources, and share their experiences. We are committed to raising awareness about dyslexia and research-based interventions and advocating for Structured Literacy in all K-5 classrooms across Arizona.
- We educate the community about the causes, symptoms, assessment, and remediation of dyslexia.
- We provide information about available resources.
- We encourage early screening for all children in Arizona’s schools.
- We provide audiobook subscriptions to Learning Ally for our dyslexic members.
- We promote teacher-training programs that teach Structured Literacy to parents, educators, and other professionals.
- We collaborate with organizations working on behalf of individuals affected by dyslexia.
Our Board of Directors includes dedicated educators, dyslexia specialists, speech-language pathologists, dyslexic individuals, and parents who have encountered learning disability issues in local public and private schools. Meet the Board.
