“Writing is an extremely complex process that requires a strong foundation in spelling, vocabulary, grammar, and executive function. Without explicit and systematic instruction, many students struggle to express their thoughts and, subsequently, the quality of their written output suffers. In this webinar, we will discuss how to systematically teach students to write, which begins with instruction in spelling, vocabulary development, and grammar. Participants will then learn about the progression from sentence-level writing through paragraphs and essays, with the ultimate goal of developing each student’s unique style and voice.
