One in five struggle with literacy! In a world that expects everyone to read and write, the 1in5K Dyslexia Dash is a family-friendly fun run that offers dyslexic learners a chance to connect with others while spreading awareness and raising funds to bring Structured Literacy (evidence-based reading instruction) to classrooms across Arizona!

Event Highlights

• Inclusive and Fun: This 5K welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you prefer to run or walk, bring your strollers and furry friends for a morning of connection, solidarity, and making memories!
• Building Community: More than just a run, it’s an opportunity for dyslexic learners, advocates, and families to connect, share experiences, and spread much-needed dyslexia awareness.
• Empowering Educators: Your participation helps provide invaluable training opportunities for teachers, improving literacy outcomes and ensuring every student, regardless of their reading ability, has the chance to thrive in school and life! 

Special Opportunity

• Nominate a Teacher: Form a team of 30 and nominate a teacher for a $300 dyslexia training reimbursement scholarship. This scholarship helps equip educators with the skills to identify and support struggling readers and improve literacy outcomes. Your nomination has the power to profoundly impact students in classrooms for years to come!
